EDITOR, CHRIS HUME – PRO BIO
Award-winning filmmaker, Chris Hume graduated from Bard College in New York with a degree in Cinema. He also won the Maya Deren Prize in his graduating class - for excellence and commitment to Cinema. Chris' parents are Alexis Gershwin and known television writer, Edward Hume (“The Day After”). After moving to Los Angeles, Chris formed Shoot and Run Productions, under which he has produced numerous documentaries of his own.
As he is an editor by trade, Chris made a career editing movie trailers and featurettes. Some of his feature film trailers included "Fahrenheit 9/11", "Corpse Bride", "Looper", "Shakespeare In Love", "Rush Hour", "Waiting for Superman", and "Amelie".
In 2015, Chris produced and edited a tribute featurette on Alejandro G. Inarritu for the LACMA fundraiser. Other Trailers and Featurettes of note include, Confessions of an Eco Terrorist" (The story of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society), "How to Train Your Dragon 2", "Orgasm, Inc. and, "Charles Schulz' Peanuts Movie". Chris has won the Cleo/Key Art Awards for "Don't Drink Your Juice in the Hood", "Men in Black", "Rush Hour", "The Bridge", "Looper", and most recently "Tim Burton’s Alice: Through the Looking Glass". He also won a Golden Trailer Award for "Fahrenheit 9/11".
In 2019, Chris edited and produced a promo for director Bong Joon Ho's Academy Award winning film "Parasite". Recently, he shot and edited the documentary short, "In The Time Of Covid". Presently, he continues working on the post-production editing for the documentary feature film, “Under One Sky”.
